Brandon Leu

Brandon Leu is a sophomore at Hennepin Technical College studying music business with the goal of establishing a volunteer program that introduces all types of music to children ages 3-6 and comforts individuals in hospice or palliative care. As a volunteer, he performed piano, cello and guitar with vocal pieces for Minnesota Orchestra Sensory Friendly Concerts, MacPhail KidsFest Events, Minnesota State Fair Auditions, Minneapolis Night Out Summer Events, St. Croix Hospice, Funerals, Weddings, and Nursing Homes. In 2024, Brandon enrolled in the Normandale Ensemble Program. Under the supervision of Dr. Hong, Brandon and James Johnson studied piano duets. Together they performed in Normandale Winter and Spring Concerts. At the 2025 Special Olympics State Swim Meet, Brandon, a member of the Wavemakers Swim Team, won a Gold in the Butterfly and Bronze in Medley.

Brandon’s philosophy is “Music brings people together. When I play guitar, children stop and sing with me. Music is a language everyone can listen to and feel something together like happiness. Creating music is all about the practice and the smiles”
