Nathan is a speaker, writer, dancer, drummer, and a great showman. He has given more than 100 speeches to Lions Clubs, the Arc of Minnesota, IBM, and the International Law Enforcement Convention, just to name a few. His story has inspired and encouraged many.

Two weeks after Nathan’s birth, he was diagnosed with Down Syndrome. All of a sudden, the feelings of embarrassment, shame, suicide, and despair overwhelmed Nathan’s parents. There was very little disability support 42 years ago and they had to come up with early intervention strategies as they were not as widely available as they are now.

Forty-two years later, Nathan’s father reflects: “My wife and I found that the greatest accomplishments came from education and stimulation.”

What happened during these 42 years? What contributed Nathan’s success today? Come to meet Nathan and hear his story yourself!
