About GTCYS
The Greater Twin Cities Youth Symphonies (GTCYS) is the nation’s largest youth orchestra program, serving more than 1,300 students ages 7–18 from across the region. Through 11 school-year orchestras, access initiatives, and summer camps, students of all skill levels grow musically while finding belonging, inspiration, and challenge. Students share their talents at 30+ mostly free concerts each year, reaching more than 20,000 community members. Founded in 1972, GTCYS has served 16,000+ alumni and, with the support of donors, provides over $300,000 in need-based scholarships so no student is turned away. Learn more at gtcys.org.
